1984 GPz 1100

Well....picked up an 83 parts bike with 6800 miles showing on the odometer. The motor in my project bike had me worried. It has a stiff spot in it and is making squeaking noises as I roll it over by hand. So I bought this parts bike because it had a good set of stock pipes and mufflers and a bunch of other stuff. Started messing around with the motor and got it running today. I think I'll just swap this motor into my project.That will let me get this one off the bench sooner so I can get the turbo back up there.

To late...its in pieces already.Pics will have to wait until I get it back together.Not much to look at right now.

got the good motor swapped in. Hope to get it started up tomorrow.

Got it started up but I'm missing an exhaust gasket.Won't be in until this friday.I put new chain and sprockets on it and had the seat recovered.

Got the exhaust gasket in and installed.Pipes are back on and I ran it some last night.Having issues with #1 cylinder keeping up with the others. It was working well before I removed it from the other frame.Getting good spark. Maybe #1 injector needs to be cleaned. Will look into it more today or on the weekend.Tach wasn't working so I pieced together 2 sets of gauges to make one that everything works on.
