new project

hey all, its been a while since i have used this sit, not needed any tech help since my bike have been running well for a long time. but i have decided to start anouthe new project. i just picked up today a 1983 kz 550 roller, not much to look at but the main stuff is there. not sure where it is headed in style, but im sure it will be a blast to get it there. hope to have some pics up soon so you can see what i got to work with, and to hear some opinons on what i decide to do with her. plus if anyone has any spare parts layin around that ya want to get rid of just let me know.

Awesome, keep us updated. I'm doing a 1984 550 that I bought as a roller also. I might pick your brain about a few things.

I just picked up a running 1980 GS550 im gonna do a rat bike bobber thing with. its got new tires and a new batt..

I traded it for an 8 foot fiberglass boat that has been sitting in my yard for 15 years lol....

i think its goin to be a bobber, if it was a chain drive i would probably make it a streetfighter. maybe somethin like this, not that i am that talented lol

not had to much time to work on it yet, got it in the garage and on a jack, got the valve cover off, timing chain and cams look good, off to the salvage yard this weekend to see what i can round up before i hit ebay...lol

its been awhile, but i have managed to get a little work done, waiting on some parts to come in that i bought on ebay. got the engine cleaned up, waiting to get the frame done, gettin rid of the old tabs that i dont need. ill try to post some pics soon. does any one have an ignitor layin around they would like to get rid of, thats the only electrical im missing.
