My new toy
07 Aug 2009 13:36 - 07 Aug 2009 13:51
I got this bike about six weeks ago. I traded a guy a guitar I paid $50 bucks for straight up. All i did was clean the carbs, a tune up and new front tire. She is running like a champ and I have been putting quite a few miles on her. All I have done cosmetically is the superbike bars, and I reupholstered the seat myself. I only have about two hundred dollars in it including the guitar I traded. This winter when I will be forced to park her I will do everything else. Let me know what you think about it. And any advice about what to do to make her look nice would be appreciated.

Hell, as far as I can tell, spit shine & polish the aluminum cases, chrome and rims this winter and she'll look brand new....
What a score....
Hey I have a $100 guitar, anyone want to trade their KZ1000's for it?

Welcome to the KZR nation, great to have you here.
Congrats! Truly great find.
Operating Recommendations:
1) During riding season ride like hell.
2) During winter season polish like hell.
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for decades until aluminum is worn out or rider is worn out, whichever comes first.
4) Replace worn out unit with new one and repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 for generations. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Best of success.
Bill
PS
Please add your year, model and location to get the best responses... and it's considered real friendly too.
It will also help out my mid-night bike parts pickup team.
