finaly got started on the work on the ole' 73. she's got 8000 miles on her and has been sitting for the most part. once i get it up to spec she'll be out for sale. thanks again for all those who talked me out of the chop.

dono, had a post about a year ago or so here titled to cut or not to cut. and almost had a torrent of posts saying i was crazy to cut it. and after some reserch i realized that it would be wrong to cut it. so im going to clean it up and sell it. im hopeing iether this summer or next spring to put it out for sale

With a black frame, new paint and correct bars you could sell it all day for 5k or more.

yea, I plan on stripping the blue off the frame and putting the emblems and stripes back on. it shouldent take much I have all the emblems just need the one side plate. still have the crash bars. but yea, ill be likely looking at 5 k or so when im done
BTW. dose any one know why this particular one has no black on the motor. every one ive seen shows the motor as a partial black. and any idea on where I might find the vin code info. to see wether it is a nebraska bike or not?

the Frame number is Z1F55818 and the motor number is Z1E055880 any info whould help

according to your numbers i believe its actually a 75 z1,not a 73.the z1 frame and engine #s tend to be within a couple hundred of each other in production # in my experiance anyway

lets see...you own the bvest motorcycle ever built...hands down the best bike ever built...a kawasaki z-1.....sell it????sure ,makes sense to me.....hold on sec ,i gotta go out back and sell another kidney,,,,,last week i got 4000 for an eye.....
