'77 kz1000 with the works
19 Jul 2009 00:16 - 19 Jul 2009 00:52
OK, here we go. I am straight from introductions.
Here is the beast and here is the plan.
'98 zx usd forks and wheels. 6" 190 rear
braced frame, drag bars
complete update of reg/rec, dyna ignition, coils and wires
stretched bandit 1200 swingarm from last years '83 katana which is getting an '06 R1 swingarm
rearsets, custom clocks with electronic speedo.
Clean up the frame tab situation and tuck all the bits and bites up under cover including the battery. Don't want to see any of the working business.
Custom led tail light as shock travel and tire clearence doesn't seem to allow for the stock light.
I think HID dual lights for the front and everything powered witha keyfob or RFID keyless ignition system like I did on my last kat.
www.youtube.com/user/katman1260#play/all...ds-all/1/Jljc7OABRwQ
custom machined countershaft sprocket area, windowed clutch cover, lots of polish and paint.
The engine will remain fairly stock as my 1260 katana is the stupid fast one in the family.
IF I can't make the zx stuff work then I guess I will go with what I know and that is Suzuki gsxr but I would like to keep it all Kawi on this one. I just don't know what transfers easily like I do the Suzukis.
Cheers, all...
