ELR Clone was created by Mikesz28lt1
Does anyone have info on what it takes to build a ELR Clone? I would be starting with a '82 1000 LTD, Is that a 1100 tank? And is the fin just of a J2? Also all the pictures I've seen have remote resevoir shocks, was this stock on that bike? And the black Kerker exhaust? Just an idea, not sure I'm even going to try and do it yet. Thanks!

A lot of what he has done to his bike will apply to what you are thinking of doing.

It is an 1100 'style' tank, ala GPz. The ELR tank lacks the pressure relief valve opening.
Tail pieces from KZ1000J1/2/3, KZ1100B1/2, KZ1100R1. KZ750L1/4, KZ750R1, and KZ700A1 are structurally identical.
Yes
Also standard, except on the Euro edition of the KZ1100R1, which used 1982 GPz1100 exhausts
Follow kano's advice and poke around on the www.kz1000R.com site
