first 2 up ride on "CHIP" was created by jswag5
Went for the first 2 up ride on my 82 kz1000p(aka-CHIP)
(pics in gallery)
After some thinking and hunting aroung in my parts bins i found the perfect passenger seat(i believe its a harley seat that i acquired from a friends old project bike)
took the original radio box mount and cut the stud off of it, slid the front mount from the seat under it, and bolted it back down to the original location.
Drilled out the back hole for the seat mount and it lined perfect with the rubber bumper lug on the rear of the frame.
Found a couple of old highway pegs in the pile of parts that fit perfect around the frame and torqued them on to support my heavy ass(if it can support me it definately can support my old lady)
after convincing the old lady it was safe for me to hop up on and not break, she hopped on and away we went.
She said the seat was comfortable, but it puts her up a little high, but all in all solid and dependable!!
Gunna ride the bike down to see the indy 500 this sunday!!
Keep the rubber side down and the helmet side up!!!
Happy riding!
