1980 ltd b4 old meets new (kinda)

Here is the project bike 3600 org. miles. before I got my greasy fingers on it! Aways wanted a kz1000 when I was a kid, but did have a 1978 kz650. Got this beauty for $700.

It is actually was a funny experience. The guy had the bike back in the 80's and dropped it once and was scared of it and never rode it again. He is a drunk and really did not want to sell it but his BIG wife forced him to sign it over to me and took the $'s It had not been started in a long time. He sold it to me about a 1 1/2 years ago. And I really started this project in December. I will get caught up to were I presently with this project in the next couple posts and pics. This pic is starting to break down the bike and get a idea for fitment of 2000 zr7 forks. More posts and pics to come. Please, anyone with any ideas or suggestions, Share them here or pm me. I also would be glad to help anyone with anything I can.

Here is the wheels, power coated black with the caliper centers painted gloss black heat paint. Conti road attack-sport rubber. The tread design looked like a great match for the look I am after.

Front forks clamps and triple tree from a 2000 zr7 new progressive springs installed. power coated and resealed.
