My KZ900 Laydown frame dragbike!!!
18 Apr 2009 18:39
Figured I go ahead and kick off the build thread since I will be draggin the dragbike home from storage so I can begin the road to recovery on it.
For those of you who did'nt catch it in my newb thread. I acquired a 77 kz900 from a buddy throug a bit of good ol' horse trading. I had intended to either rebuild it or turn it into a dragbike for me to get into the sport with. I posted up some stuff for sale on craigs list so I could start building up some fundage. I got a reply about my bike because it was in the background of one of my pictures and ol' boy was interested in trading. So me being the curious fella I am I ask what he had in mind. And low and behold........
This beaut is what he had, a kz900 on a D&K laydown frame. It has a 1170 big bore kit, ARD ignition, Sid Pogue built head, and Kenny Harmon cams. Soo yea, my attention he had.
I intended for this to be a project for me and my 2 younger brothers, but the're not really all in. So one of my closest friends and I will be going in together on this thing to et it going and burnin up the track again.
