78' 650 TO 810 Cafe was created by pburnhamb
hello, i started this project about a month ago. I hope to get some advise/ ideas/ criticism and will post pictures of my progress.
As it stands i have had the case halves, cly block, head, valve cover and all other covers soda blasted (baking soda) they are much cleaner and look pretty good for 31 yrs old in my opinion.
i am waiting on my gaskets, bearings and other parts to show up in the mail.
today i got all the studs out of the crankcase so that the top case can be bored out to fit the 750 cly block. tomorrow i will drop the case half, block, and pistons off to the machine shop.
should i think about ordering new cylinder studs (ape) or is there really no neeed to?
thanks, I'll try to keep updating this.

Looks like a good start on your project. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the yard set you back for the bs34 carbs? I keep seeing 100+ on ebay.
Thanks.. KC

The bs34s set me bak $80 he really wanted 100 though, but i practically have a bunk set up in there, i am always looking around for something or other. In my mind thats not too bad $20 for each carb... 100 aint even bad i dont think.
JORDAN: was the 810 worth it? too late now HEH but im getting excited to finish it.
