Almost?? Let's see - world's fastest KZ400 = ape hangers, forward controls, stock carbs, chopped off pipes, 200lb rider, 400cc of fire and thunder blasting down the 1/4 mile in 12.56 sec.    Maybe with a 200 mph wind at his back
According to that time sheet it was all in by the 60' mark then whatever he was racing walked away from him
So how did this post end up on here?
I have to call bullshit on this....liked the reaction time .001

I don’t know how it got here. I was replying to Wireman’s posting under “Re: New guy KZ400 project” at:
kzrider.com/forum/11-projects/263958-107...=20&start=240#555688
Click on that link and take a look at the title; then look at the posting before and after. Somehow it all got blended into your thread; but I have no idea how it happened. I didn’t realize it had invaded your thread – sorry. Ed

Sorry, I meant that in a figurative way. Riding IS my medication. Helps me to not be stressed and to focus. Being away from my bike all summer was a hard pill to swallow. I used to ride every day and this year I have only put less than 10k on my bike. I got it bad but in a figurative way. Health is everything. You can have all the gold and money in the world but without health what's it worth.

I am the same way - riding is almost a form of meditation AND medication to me. I read a university study awhile back, they were researching motorcyclists. Basically, they found out that a good motorcyclist (one that rides to ENJOY riding, not with 3' ape hangers, or riding a curled up cafe racer simply to look cool) can be come addicted to riding. Because you have to be so in tune with EVERYTHING going on around you, you're forced to push your thoughts and troubles out of the way in a survival instinct of sorts. It was very interesting!
