And yeah, sucks about the bassanni not fitting up. I HATE to cut the mount and reweld it but perhaps, for now, I can get a piece to work between foot peg mount and it won't look so bad.
Also, those are not my bikes. I have only four bikes. The ninja is my friends. He has a custom stretch on it. Planning on USD front end and other things. This is my friends shop. I have just done a few things on the bike. I polished the aluminum.
My other KZ I am going to do completely on my own because I see its not that impossible and I will Be even more proud of my bike.

I'm waiting for River Road and the Grafton Boys to comment. Just can't wait for the silver arch trip next year, planning on running that bike in to the ground. After all she wasn't raised to be no Trailer Queen.

Wow! Thanks man!
Either that or maybe you are trying to tell me I'm nuts for taking all the time and effort, $$$$ to restore restore an old dog to more than its former glory. Rofl. Thanks man!, you didn't have to do that. My wife grabbed one of your cards and said,"He's cute.", thanks a lot. Lol
But seriously, thanks for both the pipe and the nuts. Now I have to come up with plan to mount the pipe without cutting the mount on the pipe. It'd be a crime to do that IMHO.
I would love to buy property there and when I figure the whole thing out, I will. You'll be my go to man.

Who thinks I should modify a bracket to somehow connect to the frame?
What are your ideas? How to go about doing them.
I have a few ideas but I don't know. Was thinking of doing an aluminum bracket from footpeg hole and somehow having it grab the mount on the pipe while holding it from moving around. Maybe I just need to find someone with a bassani that fits LTD's and fab up a piece to weld on pipe and cut old mount off. I don't really want to do that for some reason. Sentimental?

Yeah, but if it doesn't get done right? That is what my concern was. Better a piece made to accomodate the pipe than cutting the strap and fabricating a new one right? Guess I don't know the right people. My welding skills are none existent.

I guess the next stage will be paint and Corbin saddle. Going to send gauges out to the guy at z1enterprises unless you guys know of a better place. Order a few more parts including a Z1 fender.
What do you guys think of the Z1tail and light as opposed to stock? Would that be heresy? I kind of font like mixing and matching too much but I do live the tail and light, well just about all of the stuff on the z1 save the flexy frame.
