Quick question for those of you who are bracing their frames. I circled the areas where i am thinking about removing. What is the tab with the wing nut for? also, is the farthest left bar going across just for the inner fender mounting? I plan on making my own inner fender and mounts so i wont need inner fender mounting tabs. Then lastly, is the area between the duck tail mounts also for the inner fender? I would like to cut this out too if its not necessary.

the lower brace directly behind motor is where your stock battery box mounts on kz,z1s dont have it .i think it actually helps stiffen things up.if you remove the rear fender mount between shock mounts id suggest replacing it with something smaller maybe that doesnt interfere with what you have inmind.im drawing a blank on that wingnut! :woohoo: as much power as youre adding i wouldnt worry too much about that little bit of weight youre talking about B)

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Nice to see progress there, Jordan. That setup is going to look wicked.:woohoo:
as for the frame Questions, Sorry i cant help. for some reason that frame pic is way dark on my screen. it starts to load ok (bright and clear) , then goes dark and i only see the white outline??? Anyone else have this issue?

The tab, with the wingnut, is for a securing the airbox silencer.

If you remove the brace toward the rear, you should probably replace it with something smaller.

The front lower brace, as said before is for the battery box.

Are you planning on running some type of rear suspension? If so think about your tire rubbing the rear loop on the frame when the shock(s) are compressed. I had to redo my whole rear frame section on my 900 project.
