Finally got off of TDC and took the bike to my mechanic to crimp on the master link on the new cam chain. After that things have gone kind of quick.

The best thing is that IT STARTED! Ran it for about 10 minutes on Sunday with my aux tank and with the fan on it...couldn't get it to idle, only ran on choke. Last night I flushed the tank and this morning filled it with gas and seafoam and got it started again after re-tightening the headnuts and exhaust nuts. This time I hopped on and cruised around the neighborhood. Carbs are rough and it has a totally different feel than the 750. It idles now (love seafoam!) so now I'll make an appointment with my mechanic to tune the carbs. I know my limitations.B)

It's been a long haul, but I'm glad to know that it actually runs. Next on the list is new bridgstone spitfires, new chain and sprockets.

Thanks for all the advice everyone!
