Well I was going to wait until this projet was finished before starting this thread, but its raining today and I can't ride. So thus the product of my boredom:

Just brought home from my mechanic with 1200cc wiseco pistons, welded crank and 36mm mikuni carbs.

Where did you get the swingarm? How much longer is it? Did you feed it some "extenze"? What rear wheel are you using? Pictures are great!!! Information is great too!!! Quit teasing us and let us in on all the good stuff! LOL You're not some top secret racing team are ya? I, for one, am interested in this type of mods, so give it up! Keep us informed on what you are doing, going to do, and be sure to add pictures to help us see what you are talking about. Some of us need pictures as we don't reed to well. LOL

The swingarm was purchased off ebay. They are sometimes tricky to find, but with a little patience you can find the some real gems. I had looked at having one made, I called about 5 different shops and they were all about $700 if you want to go that route (I have links to several shops that have swingarm jigs for our bikes). I'm trying to do this on a budget, so I searched and searched.

The swing arm is 8" over and was originally designed to be solid mounted. Its currently at a local machine shop getting milled out to take my stock swingarm sleeve & bolt, along with widening the axle blocks to take a larger axle.

The rear rim is 6" with a 200mm tire and came off a 99-07 haybusa. I'm also going to run a hayabusa brake caliper and bracket and I pretty sure I have a caliper torque arm that will fit.

530 EK chain. Rear sprocket is 40 tooth from Vortex (ebay) and the front is 5/8 offset 16 tooth from D&G chasis. And a clutch release kit from PMFR to accomodate for the offset sprocket.

Shocks are off a 2005 ZRX. Freebie! Had a friend with a zrx who swapped his shocks for Ohlins, so got lucky on that deal.

LOL! I'm in no way a secret race team. If you couldn't tell from the pictures, I'm building this thing in the dinning room of my apartment. So I can watch TV and work at the same time LOL!

Getting my swingarm back tuesday and once that gets painted and mounted, that'll probably be it for this year. I had wanted to be finished by now, but finding inexpensive parts is a long exhausting process. I have some ideas for next year (when the weather turns cold again), but for now its time to get out and ride.

Bitchin' bike! I think you'll hate the grips...unless you've got huge-ass basket-ball-playin' type of hands...those big 1" foam grips don't give any feedback and you always feel like you're falling off the bike. But hey, it's YOUR bike and I like it a lot. Nice work! ...can't wait 'til next winter to see what you put on the front end to match the excellent work you did on the rear. BTW: what kind of power is that thing putting out?
