Well, I finally have it all together. And believe it or not, its done before the snow completely melted.
I chose the 75 paint scheme as it just seemed... well more suiting. Besides as this is my first paint job ever, I didnt want to deal with either decals or fine pin striping as the 76 scheme would have required

Very well done. I like the fact that the mods you've done are not only tasteful but period correct as well.

thank you folks
Last year, when cleaning up the motor I made some good discoveries as well as some strange ones...
On the good side..
The previous owner had completed some nice changes
1) Dyna ignition
2) 70mm bore and new pistons
on the bad side..
1) GSXR1100 carbs which are good for size but definitely the wrong configuration for this bike. Its now breathing through a set of CV34s salvaged off an 82 750 (rejetted)
2) after spending god knows how much on the block, the prev owner reused the center o-ring with gobs of RTV.
It now has a 1 pc copper head gasket (leaks gone )
I did the coil mod as well as recommended by many on this site. Though I fear my generator might still be weak.

Beautiful!
Isn't it amazing where some people will and won't spend money??? Good looking paint, got more pics from different angles? Also, did you get that seat off eBay? I was watching one very recently that looked like yours. You have a good lookin' bike!
