to make mine that short, but I would like to take an inch or two
off to get the top line out of my view.
That aside, Beautiful bike, I really dig it. The gas tank too.
I'm in the process of getting such a bike touring worthy. Fun stuff.

My biggest question is how you did the windshield? I don't want
to make mine that short, but I would like to take an inch or two
off to get the top line out of my view.

I went to a local plastics distributor and bought some scraps of plexy glass for like 5 bucks, I made a couple different windshields but i like this one the most, I was not able to mold it to be permanently rounded but as you bolt it don it takes the fairings shape and it all good to go! the trick to cutting it is to use a carbine tip saw blade and be smooth and fast a possible so it doesn't crack.
if you have any other questions fire away!

Fair enough. What thickness is it? Also what kind of screws did you use? They don't look like plastics..
Thanks a million.

I'm not sure what thickness it is but its s thick as the stock windshield, its a standard thickness that yu would find in any home depot or lowe's, and yes i replaced the plastic screws with metal ones.

What techniques do you use to clean the engine like that. I have tried the toothbrush, but the bristles are too short.
Ive used engine degreaser, steel wool, and mothers chrome polish that stuff really worked for me. steel wool is probably the best thing to use when it comes to chrome.

your bike is as beautiful !!!!!!!!!! I have a 1982 kz1300.. I see the floorboards on your bike. is this a stock item? Can you give any info on them, or any aftermarket ones? thank you.
Thanks for the comment!
The floorboards are stock on all police bikes, I know that in the earlier years like 70's mid 80's they were removable from the actual frame but not positive.
