Found a great deal on a running 650 in fargo. Kid wanted to get rid of it because he decided to buy a new gsxr600 instead. Wanted to get his money back out of it. I found a good weekend to go, (a weekend that happended to be when MonsterJam was in town), and after the show I was going to pick it up. Everything was good and giong smooth when the day before the trip, the other driver decided he didnt want to have to mess around with a bike in his truck. This changed alot, but wasnt going to stop me from getting this bike. I had a great idea,I was going to bring it home in our minivan. Everyone else thought i was crazy, but it worked. I packed alot of blankets, bags, and tools, and within 45 minutes of arrival the bike was stripped of its front and rear end(forks, wheels, swingarm, etc.) But since nothing goes as planned we had a few problems, but nothing a sawzall cant fix! One exhaust pipe was sacrificed, along with about 6inches of the rear tail. Seller was shocked. It was a packed ride home with 5 people and a kz650 in a minivan.

A few pictures

Personally I would have "sacrificed" 3 people to keep the bike in one piece!:woohoo:

Picked it up for $200. It runs, so its a pretty good deal, but not a steal i guess. Its in pretty rough shape all around, so I have decided to continue the frame chopping, and begin making my first jap chopper. Sorry to all of you who hate destroying an old kaw, but this is my third kz, and I want one to be different. Dont want to spend a bunch of money restoring it after i dumped all the money into my recent project. Just gonna go for the old school bobber style. Stretched a bit, no rake, white walls, little tank, suicide shift, etc. Nothing crazy just something simple and different
