put on the new front tire. it was a bear to get the stock never flat cop tire off.gauges are set . not happy with how they look but they will have to do for now. want to be running by may 2. I can always change them later.
got my carbs back the other day.still messing with the rear fender. got the bracket for the front mount done. combined it with the cover for my battery box. under my new solo seat. will post pix this weekend.have to modify the frame some more to make the sissy bar line up better.... its allways something:S

mar21.. I had to take a break because I was sooo pissed. I got the frame shaped into place and should have waited for a wirefeed welder but thought I could turn my arc welder down low enough to get it. but ended up blowing a hole in my frame.. I have to sell my gs650 sooner than planned because I ran out of money. still think I can make the may 02 dead line I was hoping to finish the project by then..

Man!!! You really went to town. Love that you're carving it up. Don't see too many cop bikes made personal. If you get a chance, find me in the members list and click on gallery. There a few on here that really did some great work and inspired me to push ahead with my own vision. Best of luck. I'll keep tabs. Let me know if you need some parts. I may have some stuff layin around. Cheers.

Hey man, its looking good! My solo seat doesn't have springs. It just sits on rubber pads on the frame. If you keep shocks on the bike you really don't need them. i think if you are dead set on a sprung seat then you pretty much have to go with a pogo style seat. It will be way up in the sky though to give enough clearance over that frame. Its just too tall and parallel. I think if you lowered the back some more and put struts on it there would be enough rake in that part of the frame to fit some 2" springs. heres a picture, you can kinda see whats going on. The bike is still for sale if anyone is interested.

I found out about the spring height today and had to hard mount it.it really did put me up too high. spent the last few days working on it and this is where I am as of today. feel pretty good about how it all came together, not too much for these pipes. maybe 4 into 1 .
next is electrical or the carbs and tank.

OK, I am jealous, my cop bike still looks like it crashed a few times, and I won't even admit to how much I paid for it:P

I know the subject sounds suspecious so I'll ask up front that anyone that is willing to provide the answers I need do so in a private message. I don't want this public because I would REALLY feel like shit if some turd used the info to steal someone's bike..
the problem is that I am on the last part of building my bike.
I can't see if the carbs are right because my bike won't fire. I can jump the starter solonoid and spin the motor but don't know how to power up the coils so they will spark.
when I was welding on my frame is there a chance I fryed my electronics??
when I turn the key on I get the oil light [because there is no pressure]but the starter button does not engage the starter. tried to jump the solonoid with the key on but nothing..
I am so close to being finished. all the connectors look to be together but I also don't have headlight and the blinkers don't blink.
I have the shop manual but the schmatic is confusing.
I have power to the fuse panel and all the fuses are functional.
any one is the sacramento ,roseville northern california area good with electrical wanna make some $$$..
I'm stuck HELP MR. WIZARD.... :S
