Just finished up my bike, Figured I'd show it to you guys. I don't think it turned out too bad for only $310.

She was a barn bike sitting since '91, also my first bike ever. I will post some pics of the process i tore her down to just the frame and sanded and re-spraid everything except the clutch and brake levers and mirrior stem.
Vance&Hines 4-,1 pods, re-jet, straight bar, grips, sportster shocks, rattlecan paint, and a shaved down seat covered with ford probe rear leather seat skin.

Its looking good.
I'm in the middle of a CSR project myself. I was going back and forth on switching out the tank. In the end I decided to use a benelli repro tank with some modification.
I like the way it looks on your bike though. I don't know if its the color or what. Mine was a beat up flat black and it made the bike look too much like a cruiser.
