I gotta admit that this is going to look like a knockout when you're done. The gold accents the black body and polished aluminum nicely.
So, is it true that girlfriends are for guys ho have nothing else to do?

I finshed sealing and bondo-ing the tank and got all of the bodywork primed in black. I also mocked up a sportbike exhaust I won off of ebay for $10. The can is a little big, but it should do for now.
I also got the electronics hooked back up so after cleaning the carbs, making the seat, and getting the exhaust situation figured out I should be good to ride.

Yeah, bike is lookin good, but the exhaust kind of looks like a smoke stack. I tried the same thing with mine. Can ended up in the recycle bin for sure. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, but you can always take you a hot dog, shove a coat hanger through it, stick it in the pipe there and cook you some lunch while you're ridin' along. Might be able to fry you an egg or two on top of it, too.

Okay maybe I will look for a smaller can . I'll stop by the cycle salvage and see if they have anything I could rig up that would go better with the bike.
Meanwhile, back at the bat cave, I fiberglassed the seat pan, it still needs a few more cloth layers, paint, and to be mounted, but the shape is turning out well enough. I'll take that to the upholstery shop and see if they can do anything with it as well when I finish it.

Yeah man, the can is big, but big deal! This is your bike. It's kind of unique with that can on there, plus from the angle that the picture is taken from it's bound to look a whole lot bigger. Get it on there and get it running and then if it's like "Oh yeah, that's too big" you can always change it.
But to me, at the moment, it's kind of "out there" looking ... and if it pleased everybody, we'd all be on Honda 305 Dreams ... you meet the nicest people on a Honda.
...it's not a nice bike anyway...make it raw, and make it yours, put the can on it that makes the owner happy.
...there...I'm off my soap box.

Hey, I know: give us a 90 degree picture - straight from the right side of the bike - with the can in place. Then see what you think of it.

Okay, I wasn't entirely sure about posting pics of where it is at because I think I am getting off track from what I visualized, but I was itching to ride it so I did what I could at the time and here is where it's at. I just won a 4-1 header off of ebay and I have decided I am going to fit the exhaust can when I have time. The stock exhaust just doesn't look good on this bike to me, but at least I can ride it now. I also have to re-do the seat, I didn't glass it low enough around the sides so it looks a little goofy on the frame, and it keeps me from being able to angle the tail up any more.
