My KZ900 rear wheel powder coated was created by dan76kz900
Hello,
I thought I'd show you guys the latest thing I did to my kz900.. I powder coated the rear wheel. The previous owner painted it, and I wanted a change(changing the whole bike). So, I decided to powder coat the rear wheel. I powdered the rim, spokes, spoke nipples, center hub. The colors are mirror black and Almost chrome for the spokes. I like the mirror black.. it has a mirror like quality where you can see reflections in it.. where gloss black dose not do as well. The Almost chrome color for the spokes is one of the closest color to chrome avaliable.. last time I checked. I also did everything myself in my Garage The spokes had rust pits after stripping them, and the poweder filled them in some.. however I like it I laced the wheel up yesterday, and not have tightend and trued the wheel yet. I still have a lot of work to do..

Looks GREAT. It must be nice to be able to lace them yourself.

Thanks
I'll be sanding that powder coating off where the brake shoes contact.
Next I gotta true the wheel, and do the front wheel.

Looks good!!! I've been doing a little powder coating at home. I use that removable masking tape to mask off where I don't want the powder to live. Works good for me.
