Project slip on

Project slip on was created by anarki650
I just fit a slip on can from a 94 FZR600R onto the MAC header from the 4-1 kit I was running. The open baffle was just a bit too much noise and I had this exhaust hanging in the garage from an old bike so I thought what the hell? The can bolted right up to the header and lined up right to the stock mount on the rear and sounds pretty cool, kind of quiet, but has that "I'll kick your ass if you look at me funny" tone.
I want to kick the can up at a bit of an angle though, it'll look better that way. Anyone know where I can a slight elbow to splice into the pipe on the slip on to give it that rake? I've got access to a couple of welders (assuming one of them will hook a brotha up) so all I need to do is find the right elbow. I don't want it to kick up so much that it interferes with the rear rider's pegs (wife might be upset if I turn this into a solo rider). Here's a pic of how it sits now (the can actually rides a little higher, this was taken before final mounting).

Here's a old link to a couple elbows I bought for one of my 750s. It's about a 12 degree angle, and it was just right for me. The pipes are 1 1/2 inch. I had to cut about 4 inches off them for my use.

So I may have already solved my dilema. I went out and changed the bracket off the rear peg to a shorter adapter that came with the MAC system and it lifted the rear mount about 1.5 inches, which pulled the can up just enough that it doesn't look saggy anymore, and looking at it close I don't think I could rake it up anymore without interfering with the rear peg on that side. Here's some pics of how it sits as of right now. What do you all think?

I think it looks good, but will need a Video with sound to make a final decision. ;)

I can do that! (Gotta love a low price digital camera that takes vid w/ sound!) Just have to wait for the opportunity to preferably get someone on the back (wifey will probably be the camera person) and hope she can hold on one handed to shoot some high speed video!! (She's gonna hate me for suggesting this one....)
