Finally! that famous day has come, when an old Kz lands at your feet. My neighbor has been storing (outside) his buddies 1979 kz650b for the last year or so and he asked if I wanted to take it off his hands. No questions asked I said yes and rolled it over to my place giving him no time to chance his mind.
So now that I have it, where I should start. I dropped a battery in it and tried the electronic ignition, and nothing happened. Since its a kickstart, shouldn't it eventually turn over no matter how long its been sitting. The fluids were all drained before storage so thats a plus. I am gonna put gas/oil in this weekend and cross my fingers. Any other suggestions???
I dont really have a proper place to work on this bike so getting it running without too much maintenance is what I'm trying to do.
Cheers!
