Yamasaki pics for Colin,Mark and Sandy
25 Mar 2007 18:42
I am going to try to post these pics, let's see how we do. I still am working on the exhaust, nerf bars and foot pegs and mounting of electrical components. It's an 1100j with a jet kit, pods and a custom built equal length tube tri-y (4-2-1) header and a shortened V&H supersport cannister. What is a legitamite estimate of HP and would a set of cams break the 100hp barrier?

Um, cool....shelf?
Oh I get it, the bike is in pieces hidden somewhere within the stuff on the shelf! :woohoo:
Well, it looks like you've got the pic posting thing figured out at least.

When you mentioned nerf bars, I was thinking who in their right mind would put those on a bike, obviously not putting two and two together in my mind.
Now it all makes sense! :woohoo:
Throw some paddle tires on there, and you'll have it shooting a rooster tail that can be seen for miles.

Thanx rob. No problem with my aim, I had to resize and this new computer has no good software to do it. Tried the editing software that cam with the camera and as you can see it got smaller by using one corner only

Retro, plan on putting a set of slicks on it and see what it will do in the 1/4. I spent alot of time with the tubing bender and jigs to get the frame built dead on to make sure it would go straight at 100+. Most of these hybrids end up with bike pipes that go underneath and are no good off road.I ran mine over the nerfs(with Aluminum belly pan) and will take it off road and do some big jumps! It has a dirt modified race car rear spring and shock with 14" travel.

Wow...Brett...that's pretty sweet!
And You'll take that thing past 100MPH?!!:woohoo:
Awesome!
And to answer Your question,if You'll break 100 HP with cams in that...yup...pretty sure You will,Bud.I'm not 100% sure, but I think the J motor is pretty close to that already.(stock)
What are You using for carbs in that rig?
I'll have to show this to My Brother. He rides a Honda quad(sorry about the language)and I'm always bugging Him that He should put a Kawi power-plant in it,lol.
Like Retro said...I'd like to see that thing go in the sand with some big-scoup rubbers on it...:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Just imagine...what's an average quad putting out for H.P.?...about 30-40 maybe...now picture 100H.P....yeeHAW!!
Pretty sweet,Brett...pat Yourself on the back for THAT!
