Draco, I still have the chain guard, but like the rest of the chrome it's a little pitted in places. I might put it back on after I start lubing the chain. It's brand new, and it came with some really really thick yella babycrap grease that ain't gonna come off for a while.

Nice job.

Have you tried NeverDull on the chain guard? I've made quite a bit of rust disappear with it.

Enjoy!

Thanks Wireman and NONB.
No, I haven't tried Neverdull on it. I always thought it was for aluminum and brass. Never tried it on steel.
I might try that tonight.
But if it isn't raining, I'm going for a RIDE. I've spent all winter polishing my parts,
 . Now I want to ride.
It was the advancer that was giving me problems. Piece a cake. A couple squirts of WD40, a little advance weight manipulation, and she purrs like a kitten.

By all means keep the fairing. Maybe tis just me, but I always liked a small fairing......just seems to finish off the whole bike, IMHO.
You've done good work there.....and a little hint with the NeverDull......PUT LID BACK on can....dont ask how I know, but the stuff WILL go bad sitting open!:pinch:

Thanks Indy, I have decided to keep the fairing. I finally remembered why I like that fairing. Without one, my shirt always ends up around my armpits, and since my sixpack abs have long since been replaced by a kegger, I'd just as soon keep my shirt down over my belly now.;)
But now now I gotta find some fork clamps to put some signals where those cutouts in the fairing are.

Nice ride!
I think you're going to have to change your tagline. Your bike doesn't look bad at all.
