I used a zx12 master cyl. It has a brake light switch built in (I’m sure many modern masters work this way). This allowed me to remove the stock brake light switch. Also u can eliminate the brake line splitter and run the lines directly to the calipers. I would have done that but I already had brand new stainless lines for the stock set up, so I just used them for now.
I have a spare master. and stainless lines now if u are interested.

You are a bad man! Keep up the good work.

Are the legs seated in the intended position or low in the tree for the snapshot? Reason I ask is the usual issue we have with modern legs and wheels lowering the front end so much. One of my thoughts was a top clamp that droped the leg position a bit more to suit our needs.

If I had a clean track on a setup like this it would complete the major parts collection in house then get started on a conversion.

Would be interested if a 750 stem could be spun as opposed to matching the 1000 headstock/bearing kit.

Please keep us in the loop on any future availability and bike progress!

im in the middle of a hydrolic clutch conversion,
ill post more info at the weekend promise. B)

however in my old age instead of bolting it on and riding off into the sunset i was thinking may be i should replace the clutch as for the life of me i really don't remember the last time i change it or if i ever did?

so it could have been unchanged since 1990 lol.

when the hydrolic actuator/slave is set in right position and the clutch is worn how bad could it throw things out.

but for now my question is.

buy a Barnett clutch kit.

buy ape springs and separate plates.

if second option what brand clutch.
EBC Clutch Plates?
are there any others worth buying.

Just get a stock set of plates from Z1E. measure the metals for ware and warpage first. u may not need them.
Just stay away from the xtra plate APE set up.They will ware out the basket fingers too fast.
I have a hydro setup mocked up but i have not installed it.
just get yourself a spare clutch rod or 2 (try ebay). if u screw up the length u will have a spare. I supose it would be better to start a 1/8" on the long side and trim down from there.
I charged up my hydro on the bench so i could measure it's travel per stoke of the lever. As the plates ware the piston will sink into the slave.

First things first run into some problems,
This started when I said yeah it will bolt straight on!
So don't say that ok!
When the tree's arrived I looked at them for what seemed hr's lol.
More I looked at them more things I found needed changing.
Stem was fatter at both ends so of course bottom bearing wouldn't
Go on no matter how much I looked at it from my stool while drowning my sorrows with beer.
so I started a list of thing that need to be done and to be honest I knew right there the list was not going to be short.
While the stem was out I asked machinist to drill a hole in the bottom for my new paddock stand to slip into.
then your love this the lower tree's were 1mm to small and the forks wouldn't slide down, so back to the machinist who is always happy to see me by now.
While he was opening up the lower tree's he bored out the billet actuator plate for the zx slave, which needed a little elongating of the holes for the bolts to line up.
Needed a custom axle because the busa front end is wider, had the machinist to make it and requested castleated nuts on both ends.
He did a nice job very happy with his work.
Made a pair of spacers for the front wheel to be dead center which took ages, filing 1mm by hand sucks!
Picked up a cheap set of sidewinder headers just out of curiosity, would allow the deep sump to be installed.
Have to get some spacers made for the rotors to line up with the calipers.
Need brake lines, rear foot pegs, some re wiring, coil mod, fab a bracket for the steering damper.
