The 'J' project:

i realy like the zx7 ninja front end. i have been wanting to get going on my mkii project for a long time now and those are the forks i was planing to use. they look better than i thought they would on these old kaws.
as for the speedo issues.... that was one of the reasons i picked up the zzr1200 front end for my kz1000. like the gsx suzuki bandit 1200 the kawasaki zzr1200 is set up for a cable speedo like are old kz's.

I'm trying to stay "on it", but my work has turned mental for the moment and I'm somewhat busy. Spring break is coming!!!...:blush:

man I love all the upgrades that's one sweat ride so its got me on the look out for upgrade parts.

I'm getting close to spring break and prepping to take a little 'run' at the thing to get some items addressed. I need to remove the front sprocket for a few enthusiasts here and give the 'scoop' on exactly what it is. And Solumnrus has inspired me to get my *poo* moving in a positive direction...lookin' forward to some 'bike time' in a couple weeks.
I'm at the in-laws this weekend and - unfortunately - going to throw a couple wrenches at the GS1150 and see if I can't get it finished so my energy can be focused on the green bikes...dang it!:pinch:

Sorry it took me so long to get to this...school year is just under-way and students tend to be stoooopid-er during this time of year.

Couple little things like the engine covers that I had powder-coated black (it's a "J" remember...). All this really did was make it clear that I need to either paint the rest of the motor, or I need to have all the cases powder-coated when I (re)build the motor.

Oh, and did I mention that I have a set of PM wheels for the thing? Yup, a 6.25 for the back...so, can you say "swing arm conversion"? Gonna hafta. And to do that I'll need an out-board bearing support, also in the picture. The headlight is something that I picked up over summer also. I mistakenly allowed myself to be talked out of the original a few years back...paid the price and picked one up this summer.

So, got some parts and lotsa work to do...got a little tied up this summer with the Hawks and some projects the wife had me on. Thanks for the inquery.

Dude your bike looks killer. Do the ZX9 forks fit ZX7 triples? Al what's the bolt pattern and diamiter of those front rotors?
