Hi Ya
26 Aug 2006 00:47
Hi everyone, I just picked up my KZ550C1 yesturday. So far I've done about 50 miles on it and loved every minute it of it. Very different from my last bike which was a ZXR400L2. Its an american import with 21000 on the clock and only had a couple of owners. Really good condition. Hope it serves me well. I've got a few mods in mind so I'm sure I'll be back to ask lots of annoying question

Welcome Tom...lots of 550 owners on this forum...we'd also like to hear about the ZRX400...a bike that never made it to North America.

Thanks for the welcome.
Here's a pic of my ZXR. It really was a great bike but a bit too uncomfy for any distance. I think it looks pretty good for a 14 year old bike! I still can't believe how fast it was. Supposedly will reach 142mph but I never took it that fast, pretty close but not all the way . The one thing I will miss is the brakes, they were amazing! As the bike was so light and had duel front discs with braided lines, it could stop on a dime as they say... I'm thinking I might upgrade the brakes on my LTD.
