Hi. My name is Mike. I own 3 KZ's. I have two 1978 KZ650's and a
1978 KZ1000 Z1R. I am still restoring the Z1R. But here is a picture of my 78 KZ650B that I am just doing the final touches on.

Sure. I will post some Z1R pictures. I must take some.
The 650 is almost done. Started by pulling it out of a rust heap. Had the top and bottom cracked redid everything inside. Main drive chain, bearings(everything that moves). Got rid of the spoke rims and drum brakes for tripple disk. Doing dual brakes on the front now. Just finished doing rear brakes. I had the entire wireing harness rebuilt (took 110 hours). I now have the small square fuses and each fuse has its own box. With that, sproket the 4into1 vance pipes the filters and the digital igntion this 650 screams. Have it doing 220 kph (pinned).

They are nice looking bikes aren't they? A new name brand header and some piggy back shocks would look amazing. I think Z1R's, Ducati Mike Hailwood replicas and the Hardly Rideable XLCR 1000 Sporties are the nicest looking bikes ever.

You can see the oil comming out of the head in this picture. I will be cracking the cases and adding a gear kit to give me 6 gears. Still waiting for my Vance & Hines chrome 4into1.
