G'day from TANTANOOLA South Australia

This is actually a re-introduction, I am a 76 years old Aussie Vietnam Veteran and I was active on this forum a few years ago when I started restoring a 1979 KZ 650. I then had a few health problems ( heart valve replaced, pacemaker fitted and left kidney removed), so lost interest in the bike but after looking at the forum again I got inspired to get back into it and finish the project. I will most probibly be asking a few question along the way so bare with me.

Sorry to hear about your health challenges, sounds like you've had more than your share.
Not to worry about asking questions. I think our bench is plenty strong so ask away.

You may be familiar with the 1974 Australian law enforcement vs outlaw biker gang cult classic movie 'Stone'.

   'Stone' features many customized Kawasaki Z1's sporting custom bikini fairings.  We've seen chatter on fakebuuk that a fiberglass shop in Oz has begun making new bikini fairings for Z-bikes based on those in the 'Stone' movie.  Interesting, and we'd would be interested in one, but, shipping & tariff adds would likely be excessive.

Sounds like you've had some real challenges. Nothing like working on a bike. Sometimes we put them back together along with ourselves.
