A new member with KZ 700
11 Aug 2026 20:55
Hello, I am a new KZ rider from Finland.I already have BMW R 65 -88 and Royal Enfield Bullet 500 -03, and I now decided to try something a bit more modern. So I bought KZ 700 -84. I have ever had only one Japanese inline four, a 80`s shaft drive XJ 600 I owned decades ago.It was as exciting as a Nissan Micra and I sold it after a few months. So maybe it is now time to try again. KZ has a little over 50k miles in the odometer, and I suppose it might even be at first round.Anyway there is a lot of things to tidy up during coming winter, a full service including brake rebuild, new exhaust needed, JIS screws destroyed by unsuitable screwdriver etc. But the rest of the season I just ride to get used to the bike.
