Hello from Nebraska!
12 Jul 2026 15:00
Hello all!
I am extremely excited to be here amongst you KZ lovers!
I've been riding my 1980 KZ1000 ltd for better part of 20 years, found mine up against a shed out in the country. It was fully decked out with a wind jammer, shoel hard bags with chrome crash bars, king/queen seat and all.
it took about 2 days and all that was stripped off and under the knife/welder it went.
The result was a 6 inch frame stretch, single tube back bone, and orher mods to make it my own.
couple of years ago the miles caught up with her and it burnt a valve and it just sat as other projects took priority.
Well.. here we are today, the 1000 will need a bunch if machine work as the cylinders rusted, needs just about everything. BUT this is how i found you all. As its getting a different engine, an 82 kz1100 shafty im converting to chain.
I plan i keeping you all up to date on progress. Today i gor the 1100 running after sitting a decade!

It more fullfilling to save an old bike then to ride a new one.
