Saying hi to the KZ community
Yesterday 07:46
Im a proud owner of a 1975 kz400D. My first bike was a kz305csr. I ended up selling it to help cover Christmas one yr. I've held on to my current bike though, since i fell in love with it at first sight.
I've installed clubman bars, converted to a single mikuni carb and gone kick start only. The rest of the bike is still mostly stock. I like to think of it as cafe light.
Most of my experience lies in engine and mechanical but more recently diving into electrical as well.
I look forward to being a part of this group and helping to keep these bikes alive

I work as an aerospace machinist and I had a coworker of mine help me make a titanium battery box since the original one was rusty and mangled. I designed the flat pattern and then we cut it out on a water jet and they did the hot brake forming for the bends. It came out really nice.
