New Here 1980 250 ltd

Hi everyone. New here.
I've owned a few 80s bikes over the years. Until now all of them were hondas. Im pretty excited to finally be jumping into a KZ.

Got a steal of deal on the bike knowing it would need a little work. I have manual already ordered.

Currently rebuilding the CV carb from a donor bike but I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on switching to a BM carb. I have read that a lot of people that still run the CV do so without an air filter. Mine didn't come with a filter and seemingly a missing cover? Maybe It never had one and I'll see that in the manual when I get it

anyway happy to be here and tips are welcome.
