I've got Shinko 230 (100/90-19 front and 120/90-18 rear) on my 74 Z1.  Reasonably priced and good quality tires, they handle well.  As I remember, they work as well as the Pirelli Phantoms I had on it in the early 90s

Shinko 230's have a good reputation, other than they are short lived if you ride hard.  Shinko 712's are also excellent.

There are many other quality tires on the market.  It's hard to go wrong.  Bridgestone BT46, Avon Roadriders MKII, and many others.  I recently bought Michelin Road Classics for my 750.  They are kind of expensive, but I've never tried them before and wanted to.  Just a whim purchase.

If you want that original look you can still get the Dunlop K87 Gold Seal rear tire.  The Dunlop F6 front is no longer available but you can get a close replica with the F11.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I just took off a Pirelli Sport Demon on my back wheel.  To me it seemed hard.  I replaced it with a Shinko.  If anyone would like a free Pirelli I've got one for you.  Plenty of tread and only like 3-4 years old.

Since Continental quit making our preferred 'Conti Twins' line some years ago, we've been running IRC GS-11's in stock sizes on our Z1's to keep the original look.  They run fine & likely handle better than a stock Z1 is capable of.  Mileage is acceptable for bikes that don't get many thousands of touring miles yearly.

Was looking around some more .The metzelers seem reasonable  I guess like 300 for a set . The michlin road classics are like 400.   Guess its been a while since I bought a set. Was hoping for something less expensive as I need tires for two of my bikes and really hate to drop 6-7 hundred on tires.

Tyres ain't cheap, Dunlop are about the same (looking at your prices I think the tariffs aren't helping)
