Hello from Wisconsin
10 Apr 2025 18:21
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and to working on motorcycles in general. I bought my first bike last fall, a 1978 KZ1000 LTD. I've actually worked on cars for a few years now but found that I enjoy working on motorcycles a lot more lol.
When I first got my LTD it was running alright, but not great due to sedimentation/rust in the fuel system. So over this winter I cleaned out the gas tank then rebuilt and polished the carburetors. I'm also working on some cosmetic things, like deleting the rear fender, switching handlebars, and cleaning/polishing metal. I still have to see if the bike actually runs now that I've cleaned stuff up, but I'm expecting some sort of issue to arise since that's how working on things usually goes in my experience!
I'm looking forward to using this forum as a resource to learn more about bikes and the community around them. It's nice to meet you all.
