Strongly suggest getting the factory Kawasaki manual for your bike.  Inside, you will find guidance regarding things like where to apply gasket sealer.  For my similar 750E, the manual highlights specific areas on both the base and head gaskets where sealer should be applied.  The Filebase here has the chain drive 750 manual, but not the shaft.

Welcome.

Search "base gasket" on here.

You also might want to elaborate on you and your project bike, post a picture, etc.

get a KZ750 shaft manual. I don't recall ever seeing a pdf, so you're probably going to have to buy one.

100% on that, not on here to be downloaded. Pretty elusive on Ebay as well.

I have a 750 Spectre engine on one of my bikes, so I just used a KZ750 manual which covers the GPZ750 (engine almost identical)

You would only ever need the "real" manual if you had to sort anything to do with the shaft drive case. I do remember adjusting the clutch rod was a whole different procedure as it is attached to the weird trans cover.

he can use any kz750 shaft manual. pretty sure. since the first manual is the same as his model year and subsequent manuals cover the 82. looks like it's going to cost $40-50 at the minimum.
