Another poor soul infected with The Dreaded Z-bug.
It's a symbiotic relationship weighted most heavily toward The Dreaded Z-Bug. The host serves only as a carrier to infect others who make themselves vulnerable, usually by uttering the phrase, "Nice bike. Used to have on like it.Wanna sell it?". The actual mechanism of infection is hotly debated but, seems to be by osmosis.
The Dreaded Z-Bug compels those unfortunates so inflicted to self-medicate, helplessly driven to acquire more & more Z-bikes/parts/manuals/arcane information, in a hopeless attempt to satisfy the yearning for the comfort & satisfaction of all things Z-bike; classic symptoms of The Dreaded Z-Bug.
There is no known cure.
Welcome back. You're once again among friends who understand.

About my Z1000 A2, .....you all have probably noticed, that i`ve installed HONDA flashers...cause, at first: , I am not this kind of an "Z" enthusiast who want`s ro reach the "100 % originality-heaven",..and second, ..i really like those "more a little bit smaller" aluminum, cylindric flashlight vs. these original "coffe-cup" flashers..anyway on a bike thats a little modified like mine is.
Shure, i really like these 100% original-bikes, and the big work after that,..but i don´t wanna ride a bike with that highrised handlebar, and in condition "looks like, or better than new"...every bug or sandcorn that will impact or scratch would me hurt.., (and of course, i havn´t the knowledgement, the patience and the money, to finish a bike like few of you guys have shown here... )

CB-350 flashers mounted on aftermarket short stems on Z1's were a thing in the day. Have a set on one of our period custom Z1-A's. Yours look good!

Thank you.
Yes, i have mounted them on most of my old Kwakas since the early 80`s,..like the style, and of course, i am a big fan of raw or polished aluminum.
(Nowadays here in the galvanic workshps and companies it is really exp. to de-chrome some aluminum covers, in the npast, 20 years ago, it was relative cheap..it´s simple job: Just let the powervolts flow otherwise versa..., so, i let the chromed ribbed engine covers be on my bike,..but i woukd liked the more with NO-chrome, raw-polished aluminum,..but ya know, how`s about with all the wishing
