Just introducing myself 
i got a 83 gpz1100 a1 in the summer needs a refresh its smokes a bit but only has 14000 on the clock looks genuine its never been apart all the green fastners are untouched,the bike came from the US and has no rust , so as soon as my new shed is built i can start work .

Don´t touch the engine parts, only change oil and filter first, than do the rest of the main maintaince step by step.
You can get the service manual in the file base or ask the forum.
