Pilot jet cap for a 1983 GPz KZ550
22 Nov 2024 09:47
I got this bike recently and I’m almost done with the carb I just can’t find any pilot jet cap replacements. I’ve read some other forums and I’ve learned the part number. I searched that and they have some on eBay but they only have 2 and I need to replace all 4. I’ll keep checking eBay just incase some other ones get posted but in the mean time does anyone have a solution?

The Kawasaki part number I could find was 11012-1244. I am pretty sure stock the carbs are Teikei TK26 CVs. Parts for the TK carbs are not as easy to find as for Mikuni or Kenhin. As to what one looks like try this link
www.cmsnl.com/products/cap-pilot-jet_110121244/
I am not a TK carb fellow so take this with a grain of salt. As I understand some of the TK26 carbs have a plug and some do not. If you have not as of yet looked at the info here I would suggest you take a look. s3.amazonaws.com/gpzweb/TK26mainPage/TK26mainPage.html
There is a link there where he makes some plugs of his own.

Thanks a ton! My only worry would be if it’s the same size.
