New bike to me.

Hey there so I just got a 82 750 h3 today, I also have a 80 h1 what are the differences in the 2 bikes if any. All I know is the 82 is all stock with 21000 miles and it runs perfect compared to my 80 with pods and 4 to 1 . I did notice the ticking noise which I assume I will  ne checking the clearances. I am so excited to have a bike that runs without worrying about high revving all the time! I will get a Pic up in the a.m tomorrow.

I do not know what if any difference there are between the 1980 and the 1982 KZ750 H (LTD). I did do a quick look at partzilla and noticed there appear to be different list for the 80 model and the 81,82 and 83 models that indicates differences between several systems/parts between the H1 and the other model years. I do not know how much different any of them are from the H1 but there appear to be different part numbers for several.

Although you might have it, do you own a Kawasaki shop manual for your new motorcycle? If not, get one. They are usually available on eBay and the part number is 99924-1021-04. This manual will cover the H1 through H4 models. The Kawasaki manuals are generally very good and are better than the aftermarket manuals (Haynes, etc.).

Thanks Mike, I own a Haynes and clymer manuals, which are decent. Do get a bit confused because one says one thing and the other says differently. I did not know they made oem kawasaki manual. Will definitely buy one. I have some work to do to the 80. High revs after it warms up, cannot figure it out.

That Factory service manual is available right here in our FileBase. It covers the E1 and H1 models.
Oh Yeah, It's FREE.

the 750turbo site has a good manual w color wiring diagrams.  last time I checked, the one here on kzr is a poorly copied black/white version but that would be better than nothing.

Kawasaki 750-4 FSM. 1980-85. yellowish cover and color wiring diagrams. KZ750.KZ700.ZX750A.
750Turbo.com. resource zone. downloads. gpz750 workshop manual. full manual (128mb pdf).

differences. probably the carburetor jetting. at least. I don't know how different the carb assemblies are. probably the meters although they would physically swap and work mechanically. different headlight brackets. the H3/H4 tail light is different and has 2 bulbs. for comparing parts. the diagrams can be helpful but some of the drawings are missing.  in some cases the 650h csr drawings should help. although some of those are missing as well. the h-csr has the same frame and shares some parts w the 750h.

You're correct H1V. Thanks for pointing that poor copy out. I deleted it and substituted a better one. Look for "KZ 750 E1 & H1 Factory Service Manual.PDF"
Thanks
