I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The old girl still looks pretty good! Welcome from BC.
On your key...if you look at your lock there should be a number on it. That is your key number. You should be able to find a replacement on ebay. If you can't see the number....it's the same number as your ignition but you will have to take the dash apart to find the number on the ignition barrel.

Welcome Kevin.
Being a '78 650, I believe there will be an 800 number beside the Ignition keyhole.
This is the key code number.
As mentioned, you may be able to find one on eBay.
Or I can make them as well.
Another Canadian KZ owner.
