No oil and doesn’t look like any has been in it since he built it sprayed wd 40 in all the cylinders letting it sit haven’t tried turning it over yet probably going to fill it with oil just to get everything lubed again.

If it were me I would take the cam cover off first before filling with oil, lube the cams before turning the crank over.

If everything is good with cams/pistons then fill with oil. Wouldn't expect there is anything wrong, but I have been known myself to rob a part off a idle engine from time to time.

If there are big cams in it (above .460" lift) you might consider something milder as anything above that requires race springs which don't last long on the street. I doubt its got larger cams in it if it was going to be street/strip engine.
