I'm about 30 minutes north of the Twin Cities. Anoka area. Red Wing is a beautiful area, with great riding along the river valley! Thanks for saying hello!Where in Minnesota do you hang out? I lived briefly in Goodhue and Red Wing.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try to get more detailed photos uploaded when I ger her properly cleaned up. I have to imagine you are correct, that there can't be too many left around. Fun surprise in finding this bike was that it's a very low VIN. Matters to some, not to all I know but I find that pretty neat.Welcome to our little corner of interwebs motorcycle madness.
Nice LTD! Curious to see more detailed pics. They're becoming much more sought after. The Japanese brokers at Mid-Ohio have been asking us if we have any the past few years.

No surprise the brokers are asking about them, big vintage following in Japan which I'm sure most know. This one however is not likely to leave my garage anytime soon! It'll look great (albeit small) on display next to the CBX and the 750 four. Looking forward to riding it to some bike nights once I have it all refreshed after its slumber.
Cheers!

Nice roads for sure, sadly I was without a motorcycle then, and the 1965 F100 I drove was none too sporty

Hey sweet! Do you ever get to any of the bike nights around town? Forgotten Star perhaps (first Tuesdays of the month). Moon Motorsports has a vintage bike day coming up on the 24th that I plan to attend for the first half.. I enjoy meeting and chatting with fellow enthusiasts. Cheers!Welcome from a fellow Minnesotan!
I have honestly never knew of any bike events in the area. Everything seems to be car shows that don’t encourage motorcycles.
The vintage day a Moon Motorsports sounds interesting. I’m down in Minnetonka, so it’s not terribly far away.

Yeah so Forgotten Star Brewery in Fridley as I mentioned has been holding a bike only night the first Tuesday of each month May-Oct. There are 100's of motorcycles that go, it's really a great time! Everything from customs to vintage, and all the regular stuff in between (Harleys, BMW's, ADV bikes etc.). I rode my CBX to the one earlier this month and it had a crowd the entire evening. Met a lot of great people.Daftrusty wrote:

Then, A shop/community garage down by you- Ohana Motorsports, has a bike night hosted by Arbeiter Brewing co in Minneapolis. These are the last Wednesday of the month April through October. Much smaller event than Forgotten Star but it's a bike only event with a great group of like minded motorcycle enthusiasts. Good people from Ohana that have a bunch of resources in thier shop including a dyno if even needed.
Then the Moon Motorsports Vintage and Heritage Bike Show, in partnership with the VJMC is this Saturday the 24th from 10-4. Another great event with many amazing and rare bikes that attend (some of the ultra rare attend by trailer lol). Anyway I'd love to go but may not make it, busy day. I'm going to try to be there at 10am for the start and won't be able to stay more than an hour. I'll wear my CBX shirt so if you go and you spot me, don't hesitate to introduce yourself and say hello! Name is Andy.
All the best!
