Another Newb - plenty of questions to follow
11 Apr 2024 11:56 - 12 Apr 2024 04:42
But first, thanks for having me!
I'm beginning a long awaited start to restore* my '78 KZ1000D Z1-R.
And my first question - it is possible to change my user name?![:-) :-)](/media/kunena/emoticons/9.png)
* Phase One: Make run/make stop.

Welcome from Massachusetts. Liked the Z1R's since seeing one at the dealer in 1978. (I was on my way to the parts counter, had a hard time resisting the urge to sit on it on the way out!)

Welcome! Nice bike. The Z1R happens to be my favorite. Yours looks dusty but very complete. The original exhaust is very rare.
It looks like you'll likely end up doing a lot of the same work I did to mine a few years ago. Brakes, carbs, tires, etc. Here is my thread. kzrider.com/forum/11-projects/615972-doh...-z1r-refresh?start=0
