My KZ1100 A3 (1983)

Subject: New Member Introduction

Greetings, fellow forum members!

I’m thrilled to join this community of knowledgeable enthusiasts. I’m a 24-year-old computer engineer with a newfound passion for KZs. I must say, this forum is an absolute treasure trove of information!

Recently, I embarked on my KZ journey with the purchase of a KZ1100 A3 boasting a modest 14K miles. I’ve attached some photos for your viewing pleasure. While I adore my bike, I occasionally ponder whether investing in a 40-year-old machine was the right choice. But hey, they say doubts come with the territory, right? (I hope so, at least!)To all the seasoned experts here, I’d greatly appreciate any advice on maintaining and preserving my beloved ride.

Additionally, I’m eager to dive into DIY maintenance and tinkering. Any pointers for a newbie like myself embarking on this thrilling adventure?

Please, share your invaluable insights, thoughts, and experiences. Let’s embark on this journey together!

Best regards,
jeh

Beautiful bike!  One of the best!

You might want to read through the New Owner Things To Know thread linked in my signature.  It will provide some nuggets of info regarding how to maintain your bike.

Good luck.

Welcome.  As Nessism said, read his thread about things to know, it can save you a lot of trouble.  And the more you ride it, the more you'll know you made a good choice.
