New Member Intro

Greetings from NC USA! I just joined having recently acquired the sleeping beauty pictured below from a neighbor (1979 KZ650C). It had been sleeping outside for a few years and whoever the previous owner(s) were they did a very rough cafe racer job on it. I managed to get her started and the motor sounds pretty good. A little bit of history: I grew up in Ireland and in 1977 I actually bought a brand new Z650 (red) when they first came out. I loved that bike but I always had a regret that I didn't wait for the C model to come out with the twin discs and the cast wheels. Maybe this was meant to be! Looking forward to posting more once I decide the path I'm going down with this.

Welcome.
Looking at the solid (non drilled) rotors, and that rear caliper.
I think you may have a 1978 C2 model.
They're the best.
