Hi -
I'm new to the forums on KZ Rider, I used to post on KZ650.info. I learned a great deal there and from reading posts here.
I've had my '79 KZ650B about 10 years, I've kept it pretty much all stock. I'm decent at the basic maintenance brakes, carbs, points timing, valve shims, fork rebuild, etc.
I don't ride a great deal, but when I do with my Harley friends, they always say "I had that bike, and I wish I'd kept it."
I have no trouble keeping up with them :-)
Glad to be here.

Welcome to KZR 4Barrel !
I believe you tried to post a picture but you used the back button to find it. The back button confuses the software. Please try again,  without the back button.

Howdy. If the rear brake shoes haven't been replaced, you should do that.  A failed brake shoe lining can lock the rear wheel. It happened to me, so it does happen.

Good advice, Martin.
My bike sat in storage for 15 years or so, and when I took the rear brake apart, the linings were no longer bonded to the shoes.  If rear drum brake shoes are old, check them before you have a problem.
