Hey every. I joined a couple weeks back with the news that i was getting a kz from my uncle.
well
its finally here. i ahd a buddy from another forum, that just so happened to be moving from Jersey to Florida bring it down for me.
heres what i know
it was assembled in December 1979
its a 1000ltd
engine is seized
clutch lever is snapped
and theres some rust here and there.

well here are the pics of my new project.





what do you guys think???

I know its a little rusty, won't turn over and all that . But if you wrench on it, and rub the dirt and rust off. ebay a few parts rub some more, wrench some more it'll be as if a genie popped out of a lamp you rubbed on and you'll be so proud and the smile on your face...MAN it'll be great! It'll purr like a ki, well maybe not a kitten, after all it's a KZ. Maybe growl like a tiger.I know mine does as you crank on that throttle and you've got more ccs!. We're here for you.

I was looking at those Jardine pipes, too. The hardest things to find for an LTD are the orginal pipes, and the the grab rail behind the seat.
Nice score. Hope your engine problems are minor.

Well it's not a Z1. Do you have the frame and engine number?

on the steering stem i cant make out the whole number but it starts with KZ something OO something something. I need to take the headlight off to make the rest out.

Gotta get ready for our season finalie, once the season is over, I'll start breaking the KZ down to unseize it.
